Location: Clients Premises or WFS Training Suite

Background

This course teaches basic fire safety awareness as it applies to the workplace in a care home.

To understand the role and thereby take a pro-active role in their duties within the care home.

Course Content:

• Legislation

• Identifying Fire Hazards

• Fire Risk Assessments

• Fire Action Plans

• Signs and notices

• Fire Doors and Means of Escape

• Classifications of Fires

• Types of Fire Extinguishers

• Practical Demonstration of Fire Extinguishers

All candidates will receive a certificate of attendance on completion of the course along with a handout for future reference.
