Background

In today’s industry many high risk substances and flammable liquids are used extensively.

Large organisations with private sites utilise their own personnel to respond to emergencies.

Brief outline of the course:

Who should attend? This course is designed for personnel given the responsibility to attend such emergency incidents.

Course Content:

• Basic command and control

• Safe person concept

• Incident planning

• Personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Breathing apparatus

• Use of monitors, branches and hose lines

• Use of fixed installations on site (hydrants and drenchers)

• Properties and application rates of foam

• Environmental issues 

All candidates will receive a certificate of attendance on completion of the course along with a handout for future reference.
